This Music Poster was the first big Typography piece with a set creative goal. After looking at some artists it was decided to make the poster about Eminem because the goal of the peiece was making a music poster on a chosen artist. Also with their help the title was placed in layout below the layer used for the artwork.
This piece had the goal of practicing using typography and layout of text, to use type as a design element. The text being the artist’s song lyrics. Examples of using type as a design element is capturing his face, hair and hands in text by layout and color of text. Capturing the look and texture of his hoodie and shirt by streaching the text of his hoodie and shirt. Also using layout by layering his name behind the artwork. Using layers to create this effect and piece.
This artwork is an excellent example of using text in making a design/into artwork
